Description

The story tells us the importance of honesty. A woodcutter accidentally dropped his axe into the lake. The guardian of the lake emerged and showed him a gold axe and a silver axe. The woodcutter said what he lost was just an ordinary axe made with wood and rusted iron. The guardian was impressed by his honesty and gave him all three axes. But when a greedy fisherman dropped his fishing net into the lake and told the guardian that what he lost was a gold fishing net, he ended up getting nothing, even losing his own fishing net.
