Jesús Miguel Martínez
Jesús Miguel Martínez, MD, is a psychiatrist, a psychotherapist, and an author. Born in Venezuela, he studied Medicine and specialised in Psychiatry at Universidad Central de Venezuela, where he later taught Postgraduate Psychiatry at Centro de Salud Mental del Este.
He was trained in Psychotherapy and Neurosciences at various institutions in both the US and Spain. He is a certified therapist by the Venezuelan Association of Psychotherapy (AVEPSI in Spanish) –of which he has been president. His clinical practice has been endorsed by the Latin American Federation of Psychotherapy (FLAPSI in Spanish) –where he has served as a secretary–, and by the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP). He is a national and international lecturer on topics related to psychiatry, psychotherapy, couple psychotherapy, and communication.
He has published the books Amores que duran... y duran... y duran... y duran (2009) and El lenguaje del psicoterapeuta (2023), under their Pax imprint.
