Detoured
by Dr. Maisha Laini Grant
When life takes an unexpected turn, faith becomes the map.
In Detoured: From Cancer to Chaos to Cure, what begins as a medical crisis unfolds into a journey of purpose, courage, and divine intervention for Dr. Maisha Grant. Here she opens the door to the intimate spaces of her experiencehospital rooms dense with uncertainty, whispered midnight prayers, and moments when only grace kept her standing. Her narrative blends prose and poetry with spiritual insight, revealing how fear yields to faith and how devastation gives way to restoration. "Even in the valley, God still speaks."
This powerful memoir is for those seeking hope in hardship, encouragement in illness, or meaning in life's most disorienting seasons. It offers a unique fusion of vulnerability, theology, and fierce resilience, illuminating the beauty that arises from unexpected detours and ultimately asking one pressing question: What if the road you never wanted to travel leads you exactly where you were meant to be?
